To receive an exact picture and a re-produceable position of the print, the
camera and light module will be installed directly behind the printer. At the
moment of inspection the packaging has to be arranged. Of course,
beside the exact OCR-reading a visual check-up of the upcoming print can
take place (OCV). The print quality of the different areas of the label can
be checked with OCV-technique.
The user surface is displayed on simple operation and compatible to Windows.

An important feature of food is the best-before date. It must be
present on every packaging. The detection system should not
only detect the existence of the date, it also should detect the
correct contents and good readable.
The used character detection in our system allows a reliable
detection of a variety of product data. For example production
date, best-before date, article number, load date etc. It doesnt
matter if these are in block letters or dot (matrix) codes, inkjet-
or laser method.
Several character sets can be taught-in and stored. In case of
format change, the corresponding character set will be
selected automatically and the necessary adjustment para-
meter will be activated. Among other things the detection
quality can be adjusted. The required print can be released or
generated automatically. The system is able to inspect prints
which need more than one line.
